Has God ever ask you do do something, but you were to afraid to do it? Or, have you ever argued with God regarding your abilities to complete a task that He has asked you to do? well, lets look at Moses.
Exodus chapter 4....God has called Moses to lead his people (the Israelites) out of Egypt. Now, verse 1 of chapter 4....Moses answered, "what if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, "The Lord did not appear to you"? The Lord begins to tell Moses what to do and how to do it. He even gives Moses signs to show the Eqyptians) when they question him.
But even after all that, still Moses says in Verse 10.. Moses said to the Lord,"O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue." Then in verse 13...still Moses is asking God to send someone else! "O Lord, please send someone else to do it." Now, the Lord is upset with Moses, but he still provides for Moses a way out by using Aaron to go with him and to speak for him the words of the Lord to Pharaoh.
So, what can we take from this passage of Scripture for our own lives? there are many times we may feel afraid and unsure of ourselves and our abilities to accomplish a task, even a task that perhaps the Lord has called us to do. But if we look totally to ourselves (our fears and flaws) to accomplish that task and not to God to give us what we need to walk it out, we can miss having His very best for us. He may still use us but we may not totally see how He could have used me in a different way in spite of my flaws.
Blessing follows obedience! So, whatever it is that is before you (a trial or difficult situation) know that when we face that difficult challenge we do not do it alone. God is there with us to lead and direct our steps. Even when we make mistakes or are afraid the Lord knows and has not forgotten you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you!
Blessings to all of you
