My Dwelling Place
A Word Of Encouragement
As I set on my deck, I cannot help but reflect on my home and how fortunate I am to have a home to live in. To me, it is a place where I can go outside and hear the birds singing early in the morning, a place of contentment and fulfillment here on earth.
But I know that is not the case for everyone. But wherever it is that we live it should be a place of safety and peace. A place where we know we can go and close out all the things of the world that try and rob us of that quiet place in our hearts. But when we can’t…..
God’s Word tells us in Psalm 91:9, if you make the Most High your dwelling—even the Lord, who is my refuge—then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. Then it goes on to say, verse 11, For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways, they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Verse 14.. Because he loves me, says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
I was reminded that even though I have an earthly dwelling to live in, more so, I have a Heavenly Dwelling which is God Himself, and in him I have safety and know that no harm will befall me or come hear my tent. What a promise we have in our precious Lord and Savior Jesus who loves us more than we can ever imagine. We have His promise, that he will rescue and protect us if we call on His Name.
Have a sweet day
