Weary In The Waiting?

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom, He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Good morning everyone, thank you for joining me, today we will discuss weariness in our Spiritual journey. We have all felt tired and weary from time to time and have questioned where God was in it! I know you can identify. It is difficult at times to keep going especially when it seems un-ending in our circumstances, but when we begin to feel that way, we must then dig deep into the Word of God and his promises. He tells us in Isaiah 40:28…”He will not grow tired or weary.”

Over the duration of time we can become discouraged. But remember, this is one of the tricks of the enemy:  discouragement can lead us to defeat and cause us to doubt and give up on the promises of God

What does it mean to wait? Waiting in this context has to do with faith, not service. It bears the concepts of trust, hope and longing. It means to wait with expectant hope. This hope is brought to those who wait in patience. This is not a passive, do-nothing wait. To wait on the Lord means to:

 1. Fully believe in His promises of deliverance. 2.To trust in His power to do all that He has said He would do. 3. To long for, and look forward to, the hope the completion of His covenant. 4. To believe His Word; stand on His promises; desire His will; to hope in His faithfulness. It is to expect good things from the Lord’s hand.

It is to meet God half-way expecting Him to renew your strength. To renew!

There is a limit to all human endurance. Exhaustion can cause even the strongest to stumble. In weariness we can fall. Even the strongest can only go so far.

The Lord does not promise us an extension of our own natural strength. Rather, it is His strength that is supernaturally supplied. So, what happens when we wait upon the Lord? Our strength is renewed, our batteries are recharged, our tanks refilled.

What a promise…As it says in Isaiah 40:31, But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Keep walking, keep looking, keep trusting, God will not let you down!

Blessings, Dee
