Change my attitude before it's to late!

Good morning everyone, thank you for joining me and welcome to "Dee's Thoughts". Keep the comments coming they are wonderful. today we are going to discuss "attitude". We all need improvement in this area on a regular basis. A good attitude is a powerful thing and reaps blessing in our life and in the lives of other around us. A negative attitude causes discord, displeases God, damages relationships and works against the healthiness of our bodies and minds. So, let's get started:

Do everything without grumbling or questioning. Philippians 2:14

In some areas  of Mexico hot springs and cold springs are found side by side, and because of the convenience of this natural phenomenon the women often bring their laundry, boil their clothes in the hot springs, and then rinse them in the cold springs.

A tourist watching this procedure once commented to his Mexican guide, “They must think God is generous to provide so much free hot and cold water!” The guide replied, “No, s˜enor, there is much grumbling because he does not supply the soap!”

Words can never adequately convey the incredible impact of our attitude toward life. The longer I live the more convinced I am that life is 10 percent what happens to us and 90 percent how we respond to it.

I believe that “attitude” (my attitude) is the most important part of our day and sets the stage in how it is going to be. It does not depend on my circumstances, but rather, how we approach those circumstances.

It is more important than my past, my education, my bankroll, my successes or failures, my pain, or what other people think or say about me. My attitude is what keeps me going or holds me back. It alone is what fuels my fire or crushes my hope. When my attitude is right, there is no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme, no challenge too great for me.

Thanksgiving is the opposite of grumbling. God commands us to give thanks because he knows all the good that he can work in us when we do! Words of thankfulness and praise on our lips stirs up within us an attitude of thankfulness and worship in our hearts. This attitude, in turn, can totally transform our circumstances—even if we find ourselves in very difficult circumstances.

We know life can be hard, it is filled with loss, disappointment and trials of all kinds, but we have a choice to either look at those things when they come our way in a negative or a positive way. God is bigger than our circumstances and if we put our trust in Him and let Him do a work in us we will reap the blessing of a changed heart and attitude.

Blessings, Dee
