The Shaping of a life

And we, who with unveiled  faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Good Morning everyone, thank you for reading these blogs and I love your comments. Have you ever wondered if your life has a purpose? What is the purpose of me being here in this life? We all want our life to mean something, to accomplish something that has meaning. This is ingrained in all of us and we all desire for our children to be better than us and do greater things. So what does this look like in our individual lives? Without purpose we are like a ship without a rudder and a compass to charter us through life.

As I reflect on my own life, I can see where early on (in life), when I had no understanding about what my life may look like down the road, my path was being laid out detail by detail ordained by God, even though I did not know that at the time. You see, just because we don’t see God’s plan clearly does not mean He is not at work in leading us in His perfect plan for us and ultimately to Him.

I can see how situations, trials and experiences were shaping my life even though I was not aware of it at the time. Some were good and some were not so good, but all of them became a major part of my journey even up to this day. This is just as true for you and it is for me.

Before I knew Christ in a personal way, life to me was “just living”. I never did think  to far ahead about tomorrow, nor was I very concerned about death and what happens after death. Most of us could probably identify with this.

But now, now that I have come to know Him in a personal way, my thinking has changed over the years regarding my life and the purpose God has had for it. Now I realize that “The shaping of my life” had great meaning to God totally designed by Him,  a perfect plan just for me  that cannot fail because God has put it into existence and motion.

Oh, there have been  bumps along the way and there  will probably be more,  but  I don’t have to be worried about them because those bumps will not deter me from  reaching the ultimate goal and purpose of my life,  because my life is “not my own” it belongs to God.

As I look back I can see clearly God’s hand in everything, the good, the bad, the happy and the sad. All these things have been part of a bigger picture and plan to weave me into His plan and purpose and in the process bringing me to a place of peace, contentment and trust in the One who loves me and you. There is a divine plan in place for us that we cannot see clearly now but we will.

So, if you have days where you wonder why you are here and what purpose there is in life, know this, God has a plan, a plan for you that is being unveiled every day. For  I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 . Rest in Him there is no better a place than this!

Blessings, Dee
