Good Morning Everyone, thank you for joining me today (Dee's Thoughts), I love hearing from you keep the comments coming. How many of us would agree that in our walk with God we look more to the end result of our walk more than the day to day walk?
In our minds living a good Christian life is on the top 10 list of living for God. We think more about the end result of our walk than the day to day walk with Jesus! Have I fulfilled the purpose of God in my life? Have I done what I needed to do, walk the walk God wanted me to, and if so, will I hear God say to me…”Well done good and faithful servant”.
One of the biggest traps we as Christians fall into is the idea that God is leading us to a particular end, a desired goal. 2 Corinthians 3:18 tells us, “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with every-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
His purpose in our lives is that we depend on Him for every minute, every hour, every- day. To stay focused on Him for every moment is a far greater walk, depending on His power in our lives to live a godly life pleasing to Him. If we stay centered trusting Him in all things that come our way, that is the stage (the platform) where we are being transformed into His image---That is the purpose of God for our lives.
God’s training us is a present action not a future one. Obeying the Lord, following His voice, His leading, is the center of the Christian life. That is where our transforming takes place in the Christian life. How freeing it is to know that I am depending on God for all outcomes…that is my peace and my joy and it is yours! The good-the bad-and the ugly is all wrapped up and packaged in the life of Christ. The more we trust and let Him have his way in our lives, the freer we become.
So let us not look to far ahead in our future but rather, take one day at a time and watch the Lord lead us down a path of fulfillment and joy. He knows what is best for us and He will lead us. Let us stay focused on Him not on the journey. His is God of the process!
