"Where is the escape plan?"

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to “Dee’s Thoughts”. Most of us if not all of us, at one time or another have just wanted to ‘escape,’  to just get away from people, obligations, problems, etc. life is just too hard and we want to run away! All of us can identify with this feeling to ‘run’ and many of us have tried to from time to time. Most of the time, when we try to escape we don’t have a plan and don’t know where we are going but it doesn’t seem to matter at the time, we just want to make all the pressures of life go away!

We all need a break from the problems and pressures of life and need to get away for a little while to rejuvenate. For me, it is to get in my car and drive all alone with no one with me, it is therapeutic! The thing is though, we still have to come back and face things that we may not want to face.

See, the truth is, there is really not an ‘escape plan’ that can fix all our problems and when we try to escape (emotionally) or run away from others, those same problems are still there just waiting for us when we return. Usually ‘running’ implies a ‘loss of direction and purpose in life’. We cannot escape and end up running around in circles more confused than before.

So, let us all run at top speed with a purpose and a direction that leads us to the loving arms of Jesus. We will not be disappointed. Philippians 2:16..Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.

Keep Running the race!

Blessings, Dee
