the shortest way is not always the best way

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to "Dee's Thoughts". Keep the notes coming i so love to hear from you. How many times have you taken what you thought was a 'short cut' trying to save time when instead of saving time it cost you more time? I know I have, in fact i did just recently trying to take another route bypassing construction backups and long lines. Well, it didn't work well, every direction i took ended up being a dead end and i would have to find another route. The whole process ended up costing me more time in the long run.

We all know more or less the story of the Israelites. it took them 40 years to enter the promise land, in a trip that should have normally only taken them a few weeks Exodus 13:17-18. "Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of Philistines, ALTHOUGH THAT WAS NEAR; for God said... (and hear is the lesson for today) "lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt."

Don't give up, admitting defeat that is NOT there! if God does not take you straight away to what He has promised for you it is only because HE LOVES YOU. time is not his main concern. his main concern is YOU! it was not His main concern to have the Israelites in the promise land a few weeks earlier. His main concern was THEM. if you look at the passage it is like God is skeptical. God in not a machine, a robot. he is someone that THINKS. thinks about you and your best.

God was concerned about the Israelites that if they went through this shortest way they might see war and thus return back to Egypt! God thinks of us in the same way, the shortest way may have things that you may not be able to handle. have you ever thought that if everything came as you had planned it, would it have been the best? God leads the way and He chooses only the best for us. And the best is to be near to Him, even if the way seems a little bit longer God's purposes is NEVER to short. The path of your life may not be exactly as you had planned it, but i I can tell you, it is as God has planned it. So be encouraged, God has a plan and it is the best plan for you, so stay on the path and let Him lead you to the promise land.

Have a great day, Dee
