Questions to be asked!

originally posted on Saturday, May 28, 2011

If you are anything like me, you find yourself asking questions at times about things that trouble your heart and mind. things we can't seem to do anything about and we wonder where God is in all of it. Questions that are birthed out of a heart that is heavy and burdened down with the things of life.

We all get under the trials and tribulations of life in general and even our spiritual life from time to time. but what is our response to these times of trials and testings when they come knocking at our door?

John 16:23-24 says; In that day, you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my father will give whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive and your joy will be complete.

There may be a number of things that cloud our understanding but they do not have to come between our heart and God. "And in that day,you shall ask Me no question"--you do not need to, you are so certain that God will bring things out in accordance with His will. John 14:1 has become the real state of your heart, and there are no more questions to be asked. (quote: Owwald Chambers).

Join me in doing better in putting my total trust in the hands of God. He truly knows what is best for each one of us. "And in that day, you shall ask Me no question?

May the Peace of God fill your hearts

Overcoming Fear

Fear, we have all experienced it. Sometimes maybe more than we want to admit, but non-the-less it can creap up on us just when we don't expect it to.

Did you know...People's biggest fear is 'losing what they have'. it is healthy to fear loss when it helps us take steps to protect what we have worked for; but unhealthy; when we fear what we cannot change.

Fear is a unpleasant and often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of present danger. Fear is a God-given and natural emotion intended for our good and protection but in many cases, we feel fear that is irrational and many times not based in reality. For many of us, fear can leave us with a sense of 'punishment'. this type of fear does not come from God but from the past and from situations that has created a sense of unhealthy fear to come upon us suddenly without warning.

I John 4:16-18 says in part, perfect love drives out fear and the one who fears is not made perfect in love. Love is always the issue.

We (Healing hearts Ministry) is holding a Saturday workshop on this topic...called "Overcoming Fear" on April 30th At Divine Shepherd on 150th & Q. it starts at 8:30-2p. lunch is provided and we would love to see you all there. this is a topic that we all either struggle with or have in the past. Invite your friends and you can pre-register at Healingheartsomaha.org and leave a e-mail message that you are attending.

blessing on everyone

love to you
